If you see originals that look all white, it's because red pigment doesn't hold up to UV very well...so after so many years, there is no pigment left, and it appears all white.

Here are a set of orginal GSX decals.....If I peel off the top sheet the colors are just as brite as new.....Why anyone would leave them out exposed to the sun is beyond me....

All the GSX letters from 1970 through 1972 had the red GS letters and the white X. In 1974 and 1975, the Apollo GSX letters were all white.

Here is what I found, I took a couple good close up pictures of my GSX decal and then loaded them on my computer and enlarged them. That is when I could see slight red pigment around edges of the GS.
Also at that time I noticed that the decal had an edge of paint around the outside edges of the letters. The space inside of the GSX was original paint and paint line is very visible at veiwing pictures.
