How close are the chrome acorn lug nuts to original? I need a new set.

Chrome? I thought the originals were stainless capped steel nuts. And if I'm not mistaken, the repros are made from 100% stainless (which will last much longer).

Not sure when/if they went to capped steel but my original '68 nuts are chrome plated "acorn" style.
