Do the plug changes that No lift had said. If the ignition system is good it will have no problems with the colder plugs. I use a 125 shot of nitrous and when I had a 3500 stall convertor in it would stay at 5000 rpm all the way thru the run. But I ran 11;81 @ 112. I switched to a 3000 stall convertor and went the same time at 11.81 but went 114 mph. I also had put in a 2004r trans with a lockup convertor. you will get used to the high stall. The rpm does need to be up higher to get all the weight going. you will be ok with the 75 shot on the stock parts. Just keep an eye on the plugs and don't run too much timing. I would not go to 5500 if the engine would not do that on the cam you have. It will try to get there nitrous doesn't care about anything it just wants to go at all rpm ranges. hammer that baby with the shot and stay in it all the way I smell a high 12. I went 11.91 rolling into it like you did. Run a couple gallons of race gas when you run the nitrous. This will help with some of the detonation.

I got caught up in stuff around the house, family etc for a bit.

I did get out to Englishtown where I ran 13.7, 13.9, 14.1, 14.2 on a 50 shot with manifolds as my nitrous pressure tailed off.

But it was fun anyhow.

After that I thrashed a couple days trying to get the headers on my 350. I forgot how much of a pain they are to get on there. I ended up lifting the motor as high as I could, jacking the front of the car, and coming up from underneath with the headers.

So Last neght (Wed) I hit Lebanon with the headers.

I got in 4 runs as follows

The first 3 runs the 60ft is a little slow because I was rolling into the throttle.
Once I ran 13.161 on the third run, I was so close to hi 12s that on my last run I had to just floor it right off the bat to try to get there. I also added a degree of timing back in.

So if you compare times Ive previously posted, the headers might have gained me a tenth or two.
Certainly the motor likes the headers. It idles better, runs smoother, feels and sounds MUCH happier. To tell the truth I am surprised I didnt see more of a difference in the 50 and 75 shot times.

What the headers really did was allow me to run the 75 shot and especially the 100 shot efficiently. The motor took the 100 shot with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

12.874 @ 104.79 makes me pretty happy.

2) the family would kill me before I got away for the trip to Cecil

As for faster faster, I dont know what else I would do with this combo. 100hp is all the nitrous I want to hit it with.

My other options to eek a little more oomph out of the motor are to add hi comp pistons, get larger intake valves, get a better intake, higher stall, slicks, etc. Not gonna do it.

I think at this point the stock intake valve size is the bottleneck, and I am not going to have them upsized.

I am going to let the hi 12 sink in a bit, take some time off and then figure out the next project.
I was thinking of playing with a Burton turbo kit next. maybe I can nitrous a turbo'd 350.

you 'borrow truck and trailer' and go to cecil. or better yet sell family for trip to cecil or sell family at cecil. you'll be way ahead either way.
i do have some miscellaneous items in the garage and the misc intakes you can try; i.e., s/p or s/c.
who knows whats in the garage, i dont remember.

I would take johnny up on his offer for a single plane intake... I think that cam you have woudl love it!

Big carb, big cam, ported heads, match porting, 410 gear, 5000 stall, made my stock 455 run 10.70's 10.50 to 1 comp. 70 Buick electra heads with st 1 valves 3600lbs with me in it. That's what I would try with that 350 if I had the money.
